Arval launches EV route planning in the My Arval app

Now live in select countries

Chargetrip routing is now live in Belgium, France, and Austria, with Romania coming next. By the end of 2025, rollout is expected in Hungary, Germany, Slovakia, and Czech Republic, followed by additional European countries in 2026. Drivers can now plan EV trips directly from the My Arval app, no extra downloads, no new accounts. Just charging routes that match their vehicle, charge card origin, and country.

Try the route planner

The new route planner is accessible through a direct link inside the My Arval app.

Drivers can now:

  • Plan routes with accurate range and charging time estimates for their vehicle

  • See only charging stations compatible with their Arval Energy card

  • Access the correct networks and roaming agreements for their country

The experience automatically adapts to each driver’s country and vehicle to provide tailored routes with optimal charge stops for them.

Complex logic in a simple package

Behind the scenes, the planner uses country-specific logic built around Arval’s network and eMSP partners. Chargetrip routing takes into account the complexities of multi-country charging agreements and delivers a seamless experience for the end user.

Each country has its own:

  • Station database, based on local roaming agreements

  • Operator preferences, managed by Arval regionally

  • Charging access rules, depending on where the charge card was issued

This makes a meaningful difference for the driver: fewer detours, fewer errors, and reliable charge stops where they can use their Arval Energy card.

Arval’s Chargetrip integration

With Chargetrip, Arval was able to launch routing quickly and make it directly accessible to drivers in the My Arval app.

Behind the scenes, the integration is built to adapt to each market’s specific roaming agreements and operator preferences.
